About Udhyam Learning Foundation:
Udhyam Learning Foundation (Udhyam) is on a mission towards Making Bharat Entrepreneurial. We believe that entrepreneurship is a powerful way to channelize an individual’s potential. Entrepreneurship enables agency and allows an individual to work on their strengths while creating value for the world.
Our programs:
- Udhyam Shiksha works on developing entrepreneurial mindsets among the youth and enabling them to achieve their potential, having impacted ~40,00,000 learners across 12 Indian states.
- Udhyam Vyapaar focuses on nano businesses in India, and solving large problems faced by them, at scale; having already enabled an income uplift for close to 10000 entrepreneurs.
The goal for Udhyam is to build a thriving and supportive ecosystem, where every individual feels empowered to define their own path.
Context:
Over the last 5 years, Udhyam's impact has grown significantly across the country. In the process, the org has grown from 50 to about 200 people, and from an INR 7 Crore annual budget to 32 Crores, and continues to grow. We are also registered under the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA) and the BSE Social Stock Exchange (SSE).
We are looking for a Director-Finance at Udhyam to oversee and manage our Financials and compliance. The individual will be a part of the Senior Leadership at Udhyam.
Responsibilities include:
- Oversight across all financial activities including donations, spends, compliance, Social Stock Exchange, funder reporting
- Cost optimization: Taking an organization-wide view on strategic spending and funderwise spends
- Vetting of budgets and continuous oversight on cashflow
- Holding the verticals accountable to effective utilization of funds & impact
- Driving high standards of integrity & ethics in finance, compliances & reporting
- Analyzing spend for projects and overheads and strategizing for appropriate fund sources
- Liasioning with respective teams to action on the funding and utilization strategy
- Managing Udhyam’s Accounting, audit and compliance partners
Candidate must:
- Have held CFO or equivalent positions earlier or have retired from a senior position in Finance
- Be excited about contributing their Financial and Strategic skills towards Udhyam's mission of making Bharat Entrepreneurial
- Be available for about 24 hrs in a week - spread across the week
- Be willing to be hands on in execution of activities like MIS, compliance, etc
