We are seeking a dynamic and creative Marcom Manager to join our Shiksha team in Punjab and Uttarakhand. In this impactful role, you will play a vital part in inspiring and motivating young minds, building strong partnerships with schools and communities, and crafting compelling narratives that showcase the transformative power of our educational programs. Role:

  • Champion Stakeholder Engagement: Strategize, create, and implement an annual stakeholder engagement communication strategy for each stakeholder type (Government/administration, Principals, Teachers, Students, Community). Drive meaningful engagement and foster strong relationships with key stakeholders across Punjab and Uttarakhand.

  • Lead Marcom for State Programs: Manage the CRM/Shiksha Dashboard for State Marcom plans and lead Marcom efforts when planning state program events, including pre and post-event PR. Successfully plan and execute impactful communication strategies that enhance the visibility and success of state programs.

  • Craft Compelling Content: Ensure timely and effective creation and distribution of mutually agreed content pieces/collaterals, track and measure resultant engagement and improved efficacy of programs. Develop and distribute high-quality content that resonates with stakeholders and drives program impact.

  • Share Stories Through Impactful Videos: Plan, execute, and ensure effective distribution of videos targeting specific stakeholders. Bring the impact of Shiksha programs to life through compelling and engaging video content.

  • Build Strong Relationships: Represent Marcom on state team calls and interactions, establishing a strong rapport with the on-ground team. Foster strong working relationships with state teams and build a collaborative environment.

  • Support Donor Engagement: Support FR Marcom SPOC in planning and organizing impressive and impactful project visits for select donors. Contribute to creating memorable donor experiences that showcase the transformative impact of Shiksha programs.

  • Drive Government Partnerships: Support State teams in the creation of pitches to be sent to the state government for the uptake or upscaling of Shiksha programs. Play a crucial role in expanding the reach and impact of Shiksha programs through successful government partnerships.

  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize data-driven insights from CRM and Shiksha dashboard to support state teams in driving better engagement and in the progression of stakeholders along the conversion funnel. Leverage data to optimize stakeholder engagement strategies and drive program success.

  • Maintain Strong Communication: Maintain excellent rapport with state teams to stay up-to-date on project progress and communicate meaningful updates to relevant internal stakeholders such as the broader Marcom team, FR team, and so on. Ensure seamless communication and information flow across teams.

  • Showcase State Impact: Take ownership of state inclusion and representation in annual flagship and other major organizational events, including inviting state representatives or participants. Effectively showcase the achievements and contributions of the Punjab and Uttarakhand teams at key organizational events.

  • Collaborate for Maximum Impact: Coordinate with the broader Marcom team for donor updates on website, blog, social media, and PR for seamless and effective distribution/utilization of content and resources. Maximize the impact of communication efforts through effective collaboration with the broader Marcom team.

  • Track and Measure Success: Track campaigns and communication, create reports to demonstrate the effectiveness of campaigns. Continuously monitor and evaluate the impact of communication efforts and use data to refine strategies.

  • Monthly Reporting and Goal Setting: Contribute to monthly reporting against set OKRs. Play a key role in achieving organizational goals and ensuring the successful implementation of Shiksha programs in Punjab and Uttarakhand.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:

  • Education: Masters/ Bachelors (preferably in media, communications, journalism)

  • Experience: Minimum 4 years relevant experience in the social sector, 8 years relevant experience in all.

  • Analytics: Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze data and use insights to optimize campaigns and program effectiveness.

  • Project Management: Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.


Good to Have Skills: Basic design skills in Adobe and/or Canva, basic video editing skills.


This role is based out of Uttarakhand or Chandigarh, and requires frequent travel within the 2 states.
