• Udhyam Shiksha works on developing entrepreneurial mindsets among the youth and enabling them to achieve their potential, having impacted ~24,00,000 learners across 12 Indian states.

• Udhyam Vyapaar focuses on nano businesses in India, and solving large problems faced by them, at scale; having already enabled up to a 27% income uplift for 5000+ entrepreneurs.

The goal for Udhyam is to build a thriving and supportive ecosystem, where every individual feels empowered to define their own path.

Udhyam Vyapaar is seeking a dynamic and motivated Partnership and Communication Specialist to lead and drive our partnership development and stakeholder engagement strategies for the Entrepreneurship thematic area of the Green Rural Economy initiative . This role involves fostering strategic partnerships, amplifying Udhyam’s impact through communication strategies, and driving innovative initiatives that empower rural entrepreneurs to thrive in a sustainable ecosystem. 

Key Responsibilities

Lead Generation and Strategy 

  • Identify and actively pursue opportunities to connect with key stakeholders, including nano and micro-entrepreneurs, community organizations, and potential partners, to enhance the Green Rural Economy (GRE) project's impact and scalability under Udhyam Vyapaar.

  • Build and maintain a dynamic database of leads, partnerships, and ecosystem players to support the growth and sustainability of GRE initiatives and entrepreneurial ecosystems.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to align lead generation and partnership efforts with Udhyam’s organizational goals and the strategic objectives of the GRE project.

  • Provide operational support by engaging with stakeholders, fostering strong relationships, and managing partnerships to ensure seamless execution of GRE initiatives while amplifying Udhyam Vyapaar’s mission.

Partnership Development

  • Conduct detailed stakeholder analysis to identify key players in the entrepreneurship development sectors.

  • Identify, build, and maintain strategic partnerships with NGOs, government bodies, corporate entities, and international organizations.

  • Develop collaborative initiatives that align with GRE's mission and objectives.

  • Negotiate and formalize partnership agreements, MoUs, and contracts if needed.

  • Regularly monitor and evaluate partnership outcomes to ensure mutual benefit and sustainability.

  • Develop and implement strategies to maintain long-term relationships with existing partners.

Communication and Engagement

  • Design and implement effective communication strategies to showcase Udhyam’s role in fostering entrepreneurship and visibility and reputation building resilient rural economies.

  • Develop storytelling content, case studies, and impact reports to highlight success stories and amplify Udhyam’s narrative.

  • Represent Udhyam Vyapaar and GRE at forums, events, and roundtables, advocating for sustainable practices and nano entrepreneurship.

  • Develop compelling content for social media, press releases, newsletters, and reports.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for content and external communications.

  • Organize and participate in conferences, workshops, and events to represent GRE and build networks.

  • Enhance communication within the organization to ensure alignment on goals and partnership strategies.

  • Monitor and analyze the Green Rural Economy (GRE) project's presence across media platforms, evaluating growth metrics and the impact on stakeholder perception to strengthen Udhyam's narrative and engagement strategies.

Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with teams to align partnership and communication efforts with organizational goals.

  • Support internal capacity-building efforts related to stakeholder engagement and communication.

  • Promote a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

  • Actively gather and incorporate feedback from internal and external stakeholders to refine approaches.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communication, Public Relations, Development Studies, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in partnership building, communication, or stakeholder engagement roles, preferably in the development sector.

  • Proven track record of successfully managing partnerships and external relations.

  • Strong writing, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

  • Familiarity with rural development, sustainability, and green initiatives is highly desirable.
